Most people on the land may our sons and their youth be like plants full of

0:36.0

grown. Our daughters like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace.

0:42.2

What imagery that describes just a prayer for God's blessing on our families,

0:48.0

on our sons and our daughters. In verse 13 may our granaries be full, providing all kinds

0:54.4

of produce. May our sheep bring 4,000s and 10,000s in our fields. Just productive land,

1:01.1

which obviously in the Old Testament was so important for the people of God as a nation to have

1:09.6

sustenance. May our cattle be heavy with young, suffering no mishap or failure in bearing.

1:15.2

May there be no cry of distress in our streets. Oh, don't we all long for that.

1:21.5

1:58.6

what we just read in the beginning of verse 15, blessed are the people to whom such blessings fall,

2:03.4

blessed are the people whose God is the Lord. And so it's obvious that all blessing comes from

2:11.4

knowing God as the Lord. And obviously, obviously, there are times in our lives where we feel overwhelmed

2:18.7

by God's blessing in all kinds of different ways. And there are times when it doesn't seem like

2:24.4

things are going awesome. Maybe inner families are in the land or there are cries of distress in

2:30.8

the streets or cries of distress in our hearts. And yet, Psalm 144, verse 15, this last part of that

2:38.8

verse reminds us, blessed are the people whose God is the Lord because we know the one from whom
