If you're just joining us in this part of our Titus 2 series, you'll probably want to go back and listen to some of the previous programs to give you some context.

0:44.1

And particularly as we talk today, we're picking up where we left off yesterday on the phrase where Paul says in Titus 2 to older women that they are to be reverend in behavior. What does that look like?

1:38.5

That leads to debauchery, that leads to excess, but instead be controlled with, be filled with the Holy Spirit.

1:47.2

So today, and I told you we were coming to this, we want to raise the question not just about

1:52.2

the abuse of alcohol, but also about the use of alcohol. Now, I realize, believe me,

1:59.4

I do, that sincere believers who love God and love His Word

2:03.8

2:09.3

I will say, and it's clear that there are some verses in Scripture that represent wine

2:14.5

as a gift from God intended for our enjoyment.

2:18.7

There are other verses, some of which we talked about in the last session,
