| 0:38.4 | our mind aligned with the truth of God's word by looking at Psalm chapter 51 verses 10 through 12. |
| 0:44.5 | Now if you're not familiar with Psalm 51, it is a Psalm I would recommend that you read with this |
| 0:50.6 | in mind. Know that Psalm 51 is a Psalm of repentance. It's a Psalm that the king David wrote |
| 0:59.7 | after he had sinned greatly. He had murdered a man or had a man murdered put it that way. |
| 1:06.1 | And then he had taken the man's wife because he had already slept with her and she conceived |
| 1:11.0 | a child by him. And so this Psalm was written after David sin had been exposed after David had |
| 1:19.1 | humbled himself and he was praying this prayer of contrition and repentance to the Lord. |
| 1:24.9 | Now Psalm 51, 10 through 12, ironically has something to say to us about joy and it's joy |
| 1:31.4 | that God restores to us after we have given in to sin and have failed. Let's read it in Psalm 51, |
| 1:38.5 | 10 through 12. It says, create in me a clean heart of God and renew a right spirit within me. |
