0:14.0 | So God bless you. It is always our joy to come into your homes. We love you. We know God has great things in store. He rewards people that seek after Him. |
0:34.0 | And I believe that you and you here as well. And if you're ever in our area, come by and see us. I promise you, we'll make you feel right at home. |
0:41.0 | Thanks for tuning in today. I'd like to start with something funny each week. I heard about these three ministers. |
0:47.0 | They were out in a boat fishing one day. One of them said, we never get to let our hair down. Let's each tell the area that we struggle in the most. |
0:56.0 | Our greatest sin so we can pray for each other. The first minister said, well, I hate to admit this, but I got a big problem with gambling. |
1:04.0 | Sometimes I sneak out at night and go gamble. The second minister said, I've got a big problem with cheating. I hardly ever pay my taxes. |
1:11.0 | The third minister just sat there quietly. They waited and waited and waited. He wouldn't budge. They said, listen, we are not leaving to you tell us you're greatest sin. |
1:20.0 | He said, all right, my greatest struggle is with gossiping. And I can't wait to get off this boat. |
1:28.0 | All right, hold up your Bible. Say it like you mean it. This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I can do what it says I can do. |
1:39.0 | Today I will be taught the Word of God. I boldly confess my mind is alert. My heart is receptive. I will never be the same. In Jesus' name, God bless you. |
1:52.0 | I want to talk to you today about how God remembers you. It's easy in life to feel forgotten or at least to feel insignificant. Like our hopes and dreams don't really matter. |
2:04.0 | We all go through seasons where we're not seeing any progress. No new doors are opening. No breaks are coming our way. Just more the same month after month, even year after year. |
2:16.0 | And so often we lose our enthusiasm. We get discouraged and we drag through life thinking nobody's interested. This is never going to change. |
2:25.0 | Had a man tell me recently, Joel, I've been praying about a situation for years, but I don't see anything happening. What was he saying? I feel forgotten. |
2:35.0 | Another lady told how she had been in an abusive relationship. She was so beaten down she couldn't even look at me. With her head down, she said, I don't feel like I matter anymore. |
2:47.0 | Let me ask you, have you ever felt forgotten? Have you ever prayed and prayed, but it seemed like God was on vacation? Have you ever had those seasons when everybody around you is being blessed? |
2:59.0 | But you're not seeing any good breaks. It seems like you've been left out. Or maybe you're in a relationship. You're married, but you feel all alone. |
3:08.0 | You have a smile on the outside, but on the inside, you're empty. Nobody knows, and it seems like nobody cares. It's easy to feel forgotten. |
3:17.0 | But there's a great promise in Isaiah 49 and 15. God said, I will never forget you. I have carved you into the palm of my hand. |
