So who's what we're going to do? I'm going to speak from the subject of God pursuing you. That's

my topic tonight. God pursuing you. So the title of this sermon is God pursues you.

That just came to me this afternoon. I love you guys. We're like, he's serious. It was a joke. It was sarcasm.

But all right. All right. We'll just keep moving. God pursues you and I'm going to read a

scripture to you in a moment. But you might find this interesting that in all of our study of

God and all of our vernacular and vocabulary and words and communication and writings and poems

and poetry and all the different things we do to describe God. It is no mystery to me that

as human beings, we oftentimes overemphasize kind of our role in this whole thing. So that chair

came out of nowhere. So I hate you guys. So oftentimes you'll find in settings like this, and I

felt no one for this. This is natural and normal. We seem to emphasize our pursuit of God. Now for

many of you, that is incredibly convenient because you pray every day. You read your Bible every

day and you've been in Sunday school since you were a kid. And frankly, you hang your hat some

days on the fact that you are a God seeker. But for the rest of us, pursuing God is sometimes

challenging, exhausting, mysterious. Sometimes it's full of lethargy. Sometimes like I'm the preacher
