behold the days are coming declares the Lord when I will raise up for David a righteous

branch and he shall reign as king and deal wisely and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell securely

and this is the name by which he will be called the Lord is our righteousness.

Yes, this is a promise of the Messiah in the book of Jeremiah. This is a promise of Jesus to come.

God says the days are coming when I'm going to raise up for David so from the line of David a righteous branch with a capital B this is talking about a descendant from the line of David who will reign as king. This is talking about Jesus and listen

to this description. He will reign as king. he will deal wisely and he will execute justice and righteousness in the

land on the earth.

In his days, in Jesus' days, Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell securely.

And this is the name by which he will be called the Lord is our righteousness.

You know there are sometimes when we read a verse or part of scripture and we just need to stop and praise God.

Or in this instance specifically praise God the Son, praise Jesus for being all these things.

So let's do that right now, let's just fix our eyes on Jesus and pray.

Oh God, we praise you for this promise

to send your son.
