Welcome to the Crazy Love podcast. We spend so much of our lives chasing identity, trying to prove we belong, trying to be seen, trying to matter. But the answer to who we are isn't something we earn, it's someone we belong to.

Today, Francis Chan shows us that our truest identity is found in being children of God,

created, chosen, adopted, and loved by the Father. And this identity redefines how we pray, how we worship, and how we live.

And so the phrase that I want to teach today is the very first phrase, we believe in one God,

the Father Almighty.

I want to talk about God the Father tonight.

And this is what I'm really excited about. All that other stuff was just prologomena.

That means introductory thoughts for those who say.

I just remember my theology teacher writing that prologomena.

I'm like, what the heck is that mean?

It means introductory thoughts.

We're like, why didn't you say that?

But anyways, we believe in one God, the Father.

Now, those of us who grew up in the church or have been in the church for years,

you know we call God the Father.

But why?

Have you ever meditated and seen the uniqueness of us calling God the Father.

Because you've been in church for a while, you just go,

sometimes we call Him Lord, sometimes we call Him God, sometimes we call Him Father.

But there's something very special about the fact that Jesus says when you pray,

call him our Father.
