I've got to make a confession right away here. Okay. I'm not sure

if that volume is good. I've been going through, it seems like this happens all the time, too. I've

been going through a lot of equipment changes here in the studio, trying to improve things.

And actually, I had to replace a piece of equipment that was starting to fail, which I think

I may have talked about

during one of our programs in the last couple of weeks. But the process of replacing this

piece of equipment hasn't been very smooth. The piece of equipment I'm talking about is a mic

processor, which gives me a clarity in my voice, and it gives me what I need to hear in my

headphones, all those things, which are really important. You need to be comfortable when you

open the microphone and start talking. I've got three different mic processors here that I've

been trying to replace the one I was using with, and none of them are working the way I want them to.

It just illustrates to me that the one I had, which was probably, I don't know, 25, maybe 30 years old.

I didn't have it that whole time.

But it was part of the radio stations that I used to own, and I grabbed it when I sold the stations, and I put it in the studio here.

And it was a fantastic processor.

It gave me exactly the sound I wanted, and I haven't been able to match that.

And so I hear distortion, I hear hisses, I hear all these weird things.
