Summary

Have you ever had a redo you didn’t deserve? As we continue our series on the book of Jonah, Dale teaches us about the redo Jonah gets from God. Jonah responds faithfully and God uses Jonah to bring revival to Nineveh. We get to learn from Jonah, Nineveh and God.

0:00.0	Come on. Hey, have any of you ever gotten an undeserved redo in life? Anyone had one? No, I'm the only one.
0:07.6	Okay, a few other people. I'm not talking about like when you were playing T-ball and you got another
0:12.3	at bat that you didn't deserve. I'm talking something in your life where you truly did not
0:17.6	deserve a redo and you got one. And I had one of these right after I graduated from
0:23.2	Baylor. I spent about a year in this ministry training program and about halfway through that year,
0:30.0	we had this test that we called the stand and deliver. And so I showed up to this stand and
0:35.5	deliver kind of on the mentality of I'm just going to wing it.
0:41.4	But here's why.
0:42.2	Like here, just trust me.
0:43.3	Like I showed up like, I'm going to wing it.
0:45.5	Why?
0:46.0	I graduated from Baylor, right?
0:48.6	I've already taken Christian scriptures and Christian heritage.
0:52.5	This year-long ministry training program that I'm showing up to,
0:56.3	like, of course, I can just wing this stand and deliver. And so I end up winging it, and I end up
1:04.3	failing it. And this truly, that might not sound like a big deal to you, but to me it was.
1:13.0	What I learned is I was the first person in the history of the program to ever have to
1:18.4	redo their stand and deliver.
1:20.4	I'm like, are you serious?
1:22.5	Like this was so embarrassing.
1:24.2	And this is one of those moments in your life.
