Good morning everyone and welcome back to another mornings with the masters. We're going to vote

picking up with day two of the Father knows best devotion on the Bible app. There's a link to that

scripture than Troy's going to pick with the Devo. Let's do it. The first scripture is Proverbs

chapter 19 verse 21 and it says this, you can make many plans but the Lord's purpose will prevail.

And the second verse is Psalms chapter 37 verse 5 and it says this, commit everything you do to the Lord,

trust him and he will help you. The devotional says this, saying yes and the face of God's

know is a breaking process and it is very painful but it is also the place where God begins a new

thing. Rarely do we understand it at the time. The Lord does not ask that we be okay with being

broken. He only asks that we submit to the breaking and trust him with it. The apex of obedience to

God is to faithfully say, Lord let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless, not my will but your will

be done. To release what is behind and press on to what lies ahead. To surrender to let God

close the door regardless of how much it hurts. Let Abraham testify. He was commanded to surrender

his will and lay his son Isaac on the altar of sacrifice. Isaac was Abraham's miracle baby born

when his father was 100 years old and yet God called Abraham to lay his miracle on the altar

at Mount Mariah. Facing the biggest loss in his life also led to Abraham's biggest miracle

becoming not just Isaac's father but the father of many nations. There's a question at the end that

says, how is obedience related to the discovery of God's will for your life? You know, I think

this is something that we've talked about about like how delayed obedience is disobedience and

I know that we hear that word obedient and we hear that word submission or dominion or surrender

and they all sound in this like new postmodern post-truth age that we live in which is like, well,
