I'm always interested. You have a pad. Now, did you just bring that path so you can write your own thoughts down, or do you have things on that pad?

I have things on the pad. What's on the pad?

So it's funny. You brought up the nature of man. I was thinking because I have been going through this time of, just, I've been struggling with the idea of discontent of, there's godly discontent where you go,

I need to do good work, right?

And the ambition, godly ambition to do stuff.

And then there's this not godly discontent where you go, you I want it in my timing I want this stuff to happen

I'm not happy with the results that God brings I'm you know whatever this is kind of sitting on

that in a way that you go okay how do you deal with that so I have been thinking about

contentment and satisfaction and joy and the idea of how we pursue that and our own change and growth and progress in the inward world and the external world.

And I recently had this experience where I was, I could just tell I needed rest and time to process things and to just deal with a lot of kind of soul beat upness.

And I find those times, the times where when you engage with art, that the art kind of is more

impactful. And so those are some of the things that recently I had been engaging with. And there's

something that you had expressed to me many moons ago. I don't know, but in years.

You just talked about how when you work in the garden with the curse, there's thorns and thistles and it tears up your hands.

And you talked about how with intellectual work, it does that too.

And when you told me that, that idea that that recognition you were praising your wife you were

expressing that your wife understands like if you work really hard and throw yourself into a

project to like make it happen how she gives you like good soul care and and and helps to like

recognize and appreciate the hard work that you've done and to pour into you.

So it was in the context of you just expressing appreciation for your wife.

And but that, that, that, that, that content that you expressed stuck with me.

It was something I've never forgotten.
