I'm so glad you've joined me tonight for a walk through Heidelberg.

Tonight's story will take you to a city with a rich history and tremendous beauty. In the heart of Oldenwald Mountains,

crossing the Nekkar River, you will wander down city streets that remind you of how the

Lord your God goes before you and makes your path straight. Tourists and residents alike enjoy the cities which they live and visit by wandering the

streets and exploring all that is around.

They might end up down one road in the afternoon and another road that evening.

There will be different shops to see, and perhaps people to talk to.

Walking along the path of life is much like walking the streets of a city.

There are both twists and turns, beauty, and brokenness.

There are unexpected detours and roadblocks that make you find a new route.

Walking the path of life as a follower of Jesus gives you a leader and guide for both the lovely and the beautiful unexpected.

Proverbs 3 verses 5 and 6 put it this way.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart.

Do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
