Summary

Have you ever read anything in Scripture and wondered how that could have been possible? Or have you ever thought that our outrageous situations are entirely too big for God to handle? Jeremiah the prophet spoke these words that remind us that the maker of Heaven and earth is never stumped or stuck: "Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee..." (Jeremiah 32:17) We are mistaken if we ever think that God can't do something. We fail to remember that God's will factors into everything He does. Our prayers come with expectations attached. Detach the expectations and replace them with faith. Believe that God can and will do what is best, even in the worst situations.  This episode examines a passage from Acts 12 about the apostle Peter, who was in a very impossible situation. Peter's "impossible possible" is relevant to our lives today as we face our own challenging situations. Challenges are just opportunities for God to show His unlimited strength and mighty power. You know what? God makes impossible possible. And when he does that, he increases our faith through

There's a really powerful passage in Chapter 17 of Luke that says this at verse number five,

1:25.7

and the apostles said unto the Lord, increase our faith. Wow. They basically were asking him,

1:30.7

which was the same as making a prayer request, but they were talking to Jesus live and in person.

1:33.1

But think about what they just asked for.

1:41.3

I mean, when we ask for an increase in faith, at least I assume that means we're going to get an increase in lessons that build our faith.

1:46.7

We may not like how that turns out. Have you ever prayed something and then thought yourself, now what have I done? But I can't tell from this passage whether the disciples were

asking this because Jesus had just instructed them that they need to forgive people. Some Bible

commentators say that this request is made in general,

2:03.4

while others say it was made specifically in relationship to the previous verses in Luke 17,
