I believe that one of the things that sexual abuse does is it robs you of your

identity. It confuses you as to who you are and who God is. And I think that's

one of the ultimate goals to not know who God is as a healer, as a father, as

a friend, as an advocate, as a helper. I really had no idea who God was. I knew

he existed, and I knew he knew all things, but I didn't know if he would

receive me if he knew the whole story.

There can be much fear in being true, you know. Will I still be loved despite my

mistakes, despite my desperate thoughts, despite that I might not ever be enough

yes. God promises to love us with an everlasting love and is continually
