Hey Dutch Sheets, coming to you again to exhort and encourage you during this incredibly momentous

season here in America. It's a deja vu all over again for me. I remember this same sort of thing

in the Bush Gore election of 2000 when we just had to

pray and pray and pray and here we go again. By the way, I hope you liked my We the People hat.

I have my We the People shirt on too. I'm just, I'm a walking prophetic act today and a sitting prophetic act. I believe the

Constitution is so important that I believe God inspired the Declaration of Independence and the

Constitution. So anyway, it's just a little fun I'm having, but I want to talk to you a little

here today just to encourage the praying church

to exhort, to give you some things to think about, and also just to reiterate what I'm hearing

the prophets say and what I'm hearing in my heart. And I'll tell you right up front

that I'm hearing that we must persevere. This is not over. We don't give up. We're going to win

this. And I want to encourage you with that. So I'm just going to walk through some notes here. As you

know, this is sort of an informal format. I don't have it all laid out like I'm just going to walk through some notes here. As you know, this is sort of an informal format. I don't have it all laid out like I might in a sermon, but just to share a few things from my heart. You know, in my book Intercessor Prayer, the first four chapters, before I get into the how-tos of praying. I dealt more with some of the theological

questions regarding prayer. And one of the things I dealt with in depth was, do our prayers

really matter? In other words, and that sounds like a strange question, but there is a subconscious mindset that controls many people,

I would say most people, and certainly many Christians, and that is that God is in control

and he's going to do what he wants to do, and in spite of us, he's going to get what he wants. So we don't have to worry about anything.

And we comfort ourselves with expressions like God's in control, God's in control of everything,

all things work together for good. And what that does without us realizing it at times is it becomes a coin a word here, a demotivator.

Rather than being motivated to pray, we subconsciously begin to give ourselves a break and think, well, it's okay.

You know, God's going to get it done anyway.

But I want to say to you that that's not what the sovereignty of God really means.
