0:12.0	But there is no storyteller like the Lord Jesus, and there are no greater stories told than the ones Jesus shared.
0:19.0	In this study, spiritual stories, we consider the parables Jesus told

0:58.3	Israel is symbolic of God's work in this world. Israel is near to the heart of God and Satan knew
1:06.0	that striking at Israel would strike at the heart of the God who loved them perfectly and who has a
1:11.5	plan and purpose for them. Now, we are not a part of the nation of Israel. We're the New Testament
1:17.1	Church, and there's a definite distinction in scripture between the two. But I want to go on
1:22.0	record of saying, I am convinced God is not finished with Israel.
1:31.7	No, we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
1:40.9	We should stay peaceful toward Jerusalem because God still has a plan and program for Israel at the end of the age that is vital,
1:45.7	and he will fulfill everything that he foretells. Now why is that important?
1:52.1	Because today we return to Matthew chapter 13, these kingdom parables, to one verse, one parable that deals with the nation of Israel. I want to read it to you and then we'll examine it.
1:58.2	Matthew chapter 13 verse 44, again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field.
2:06.0	The witch, when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath,
2:13.1	and buyeth that field.
2:15.3	So here's the picture in the parable. A man finds a treasure hidden in a field.
2:20.8	He gets so excited over it. He goes and sells everything that he has and buys that field so that he
2:27.0	can have that treasure for himself. Now, who is that man? Well, in line with all of the rest of the parables in Matthew chapter 13, the man must be our Lord.
2:38.6	The question really is, what's the treasure?
