Chapter 1.

And I'm going to give you a little update on Corinth.

On Corinth, the reason why this letter was wrote by Paul, so it'll help you.

Corinth, the most important city in Greece during Paul's day, was a bustling hub of worldwide commerce degraded culture

and idolatrous religion there Paul founded the church that's Acts chapter 18 1 through 17 and two of

his letters are addressed unto the church of God which is at Corinth that's a one verse 2 and second

Corinthians 1 verse 1 1 1 1 1st revealed, precious, and struggles of a church called out of a pagan society.

Paul addresses a variety of problems in the lifestyle of the Corinthian church,

factions, factions, excuse me, lawsuits, immorality, questionable practices, abuse of the Lord's

supper and spiritual gifts.

In addition to words of discipline, Paul shares words of counsel to answer to questions

raised by the Corinthian believers.

One of these, the oldest recorded title of this epistle, is First Corinthians, and he had

an A in front of it, I mean, at the end of it, so that it would not be misunderstood for 2nd Corinthians when he wrote the second letter. So it gives you an eye, kind of an idea, you know, what he was going into when he found at that church.
