Summary
In today’s devotional, we’re going to look at the reality that God loves to heal hearts. As we continue this series allowing who God is and what he does to stir up our affections for him, may his desire to heal us emotionally, to bind up our wounds, draw us closer to him in meaningful ways.
Our Scripture for today comes from Psalm 147:3, and today's worship is Build Your Kingdom by First15 Worship feat. Emily Huffaker.

As believers, we want a real connection with God every day, not just on Sunday. We want the peace and passion that comes from living with God, not for God. But when Monday morning rolls around we’re left thinking:
“Now what?” “How do I find and keep a daily connection with my Creator on my own?”

| 0:58.0 | One of my favorite chapters in all of Scripture is Psalm 147. It's a Psalm laden with the wondrous works of God, |

| 1:07.0 | In it we learn that God determines the number of the stars. He gives to them all their names, and that he covers the heavens with clouds. |
| 1:16.6 | He prepares rain for the earth. |
| 1:18.6 | He makes grass grow on the hills. |
| 1:21.6 | He gives to the beasts their food and to the young ravens that cry. |
| 1:35.4 | The verse that I want to emphasize for us today, however, is verse 3, that he heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. |
| 1:39.8 | Jesus was a perfect example of God's heart to do this very thing. |
| 1:45.0 | All throughout his ministry, Jesus healed those around him physically, emotionally, and spiritually. |
| 1:53.0 | Scripture gives us insight into characters such as Mary Magdalene, who is delivered of demon possession |
| 1:59.0 | and brought into close friendship with Christ himself. |
| 2:03.5 | Jesus healed her spiritually, emotionally, and physically, by delivering her from oppression and being her friend. |
| 2:13.0 | And then there's Paul. Before Jesus revealed himself to Paul, he was Saul, a man committed to destroying the very movement of Christianity that he would later give his life to build. |
| 2:24.3 | He was a driven, successful, and prideful man. He was a religious zealot of great discipline, but a man far away from the heart of God. |
| 2:36.2 | However, after meeting Jesus and being healed of his former ways, |
