How many of you heard the term space cadet?

Stargazers.

These were terms that were popularized by a comedian in the 80s by the name of Bob Hope.

Some of the younger ones probably don't know who I'm talking about.

And that was his way of describing some politicians, or anyone for that matter, who's kind of

head in the clouds and not realistic and not living in the real world.

As general rule, not always, but as a general rule, I don't like to pick on politicians.

I feel bad for them because they're doing a job of two people.

Lowell and Hardy.

Someone said that the reason Christopher Columbus would have made a great politician is because he left did not know where he was going.

When he got there, he did not know where he was.

And then when he went back, he didn't know where it had been.

And he did it all on somebody else's money.

I don't like to put it on politicians.

As a matter of fact, today I'm going to try to change your view about space cadets and stargazers. I'm going to show

you that it's good to be a stargazer. Turn with me, please, if you would, to Psalm 19. When in

verse 1 it says, the heavens declare the glory of the Lord.

And I know that if you have ever taken time and you gazed into the heavens and you felt the presence

of the glory of God, you understand what I'm talking about, what the psalmist is saying,

even in the times of the storms and the

gales that we can see the handy power of God, Stuart Hines was caught in one of those thunderstorms.

It was so vicious that was so violent. And yet, he did not see the viciousness of the violence. He saw the handiwork of God.
