John chapter 1, verse 35. You have a Bible go there. I'm going to read some verses and then I'll explain where we're going from there. John chapter 1 verse 35. Brand new series today. God has a plan.

Again the next day, John stood with two of his disciples and looking at Jesus as he walked,

he said, behold the Lamb of God. The two disciples heard him speaking, and they followed Jesus. Then Jesus turned and seen them following, he said to them, what do you seek? They said to him, Rabbi, where are you staying? He said to them, well, come and I'll show you, come and see. They came and saw where he

was staying and remained with them that day. Now, it was about the 10th hour. One of the two,

one of the two heard John speak and followed him was Andrew. Now, Andrew is Simon Peter's brother.

He first found his own brother Simon and said to him,

we have found the Messiah, which is translated to Christ. And he brought him to Jesus. Can I just

encourage you today if you are already a follower of Jesus? Once you find Jesus, isn't it

fascinating that the first thing you want to do is go find somebody and bring them to Jesus?

And we can just start today's message by saying, who are you bringing to Jesus?

Because Andrew found Jesus and it says, and he brought him his brother to Jesus.

Now when Jesus looked at his brother, Simon, he said, you are Simon, the son of Jonah.

You shall be called Seppis, which is translated a stone. I love this story in John chapter one.

Love this story beginning our series. God has a plan that Jesus looks at this man and says, I know your

name is Sefis, but come down the road just a little bit of time.

I'm going to change your name. You're going to be called Seffis, which means stone. This is an unbelievable

story in the scriptures. It's a story found in the gospel of John, where John the Baptist had just been the one

kind of declaring, or as the Bible says, a voice crying in the wilderness,

prepare the way of the Lord.

John the Baptist was the forerunner.

In our world, he's the club promoter, but he's not promoting the club, he's promoting Jesus.
