Genesis 1 is where we'll begin. Open your Bibles to Genesis 1 and then if you want to put a marker at Matthew 23,

and I want to share a special Mother's Day message

called God-created Mothers.

When you think about mothers, I believe that they have some

characteristics and some traits that they received from the Lord. And I believe God invented mothers.

I believe God thought them up.

I believe God dreamed them up.

And I believe God created them and gave them to us as a gift.

Let me read you something I read a while back. A second grade teacher taught

her class about a magnet, a magnet, and she taught about what a magnet was a magnet.

And she taught about what a magnet does and how a magnet works and she spent quite a bit of time teaching them and showing them a magnet.

And then the next day she gave her second grade class a test. The test said this,

my full name has six letters. The first one is M. I pick up things. What am I over half the class responded mother?

Well, there are some things mothers shouldn't have to pick up.
