1:04.9	In Matthew chapter 1, verse number 23, this is exactly what the Lord says to Joseph.
1:15.1	Behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God with us.
1:23.3	There it is, God with us. Now, returning our attention to the New Testament now in our study, to this point,
1:29.4	we've been in the Old Testament scriptures, but I would remind you that all of this is connected,
1:34.5	that the God who came in Matthew is the God who was at work all through the Old Testament.
1:42.9	In fact, this exact verse, Matthew chapter 1, verse number 23,
1:47.2	is a quote from the Old Testament.
1:49.5	Isaiah chapter 7, verse number 14, says,
1:51.9	therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign.
1:54.8	Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son
1:57.6	and shall call his name Emmanuel.
2:01.1	So this is a direct fulfillment of prophecy.
2:04.9	And of course, the spiritual message of it is the message of the whole of scripture
