A casual glance at the condition of our world will reveal just how far away from God our society has traveled.

Political tension, financial instability, widespread violence, and the list goes on and on. All of this is a reminder that we need

revival. In this study, Scott Pauley leads us through a study of the Old Testament book of

Habakkuk and brings a comparison from our day to the day in which Habakkuk served. What was needed in his day

is exactly what our world needs today. Heaven sent revival. Let's consider his message

Friends, that's where you want to be.

Back in Chapter 3 records for us, I think, one of the great statements of Scripture. It is really one of the great

emphasis of the whole of the Word of God. And it is summarized in two words. In Habakkuk chapter 3 and

verse number three, the Bible says, God came. Listen to those words. God came. I say again, isn't it wonderful when God shows up?

Think about the message of the Bible from start to finish. In the book of Genesis,

God made man, put him in the garden. And the Bible says that on that fateful day when Adam and

Eve sinned, when Satan found an entry point into

humanity, God came walking through that garden in the cool of the day. Do you remember in Noah's

day? What happened? The imagination of man's heart, only evil continually, but God came. God came to Noah and showed grace to him and to his family, made a way of escape, save the human race. God came. What about the Tower of Babel? That's the exact wording of scripture. The Bible says that God came down to see what was happening there. There's

a little note of humor, I think, in it that a God so great and mighty would stoop to see what

insignificant humans were doing, thinking they were doing something really great until God came.

And then there was Abram.
