0:15.3	You may not know this, but enjoying the journey actually started during the Christmas season.
0:20.6	We set aside a month of Christmas
0:22.9	studies to search the scriptures, to learn the beautiful joy of the coming of Christ and all that
0:29.4	was connected to it. And now, as we celebrate the end of our seventh year of broadcast, I'm so excited
0:35.2	to share these studies with you again. I want to encourage you to
0:39.1	get your Bible, get your family, sit down, and let's worship our great Christ together. At the
0:46.4	conclusion of today's study, Greg will come and tell you more about how you can obtain other resources

1:08.7	with the constant expectation that at some point God would come.
1:14.5	The prophets told them about it.
1:16.8	The Old Testament scriptures are full of these promises.
1:20.1	As a matter of fact, in Isaiah 714, we have the promise of Emmanuel, God with us. And for thousands of years, they lived with that hope and that
1:31.4	expectation. And then for 400 years, 400 silent years, there was no word from God. There was no
1:40.7	prophet delivering a message from the Lord.
1:48.8	There was very little going on, and yet God was at work behind the scenes.
1:53.6	And when you come to the first page of the New Testament, Matthew chapter 1,
1:57.2	an angel delivers a message to Joseph.
