0:31.6	He has passed away at the age of 70.
0:34.6	Of course it was a year ago that he told us that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer.
0:42.2	And he mentioned the last time he was on the air right before Christmas that they didn't
0:47.8	expect him to last until October, but he did.
0:50.8	Or November or certainly December.
0:54.7	He made it past all of those landmarks, but he had been off the radio for I think three
1:04.2	weeks, maybe three to four weeks.
1:08.2	And so I was worried that it might have taken a turn for the worse, and apparently he did.
1:15.7	And we lost an incredible patriot.
1:20.6	Legend, an absolute powerhouse, and a man who quite honestly, not just revolutionized
1:29.7	talk radio, but really kind of invented it in the form that it is today.
1:37.8	Because without Rush, that just wouldn't have happened.
1:41.6	Before Rush kicked into gear with his national show in 1988, there was the fairness doctrine.
1:50.1	And so you would have a conservative talk radio host followed by a liberal one, followed
1:55.9	by another conservative, and then another liberal.
1:59.1	It just had to be equally balanced, just madness.
