In today's podcast, we continue our week-long focus on being a child of God by looking at how God guides us throughout our life.

All of us long for and need a guide through this life.

In this journey, there are so many twists and turns,

so many unknowns, so many roads that we can take

so we need a good omniscient and omnipotent guide

to help us know which way to go.

May you sense the leadership of your loving father today

as we create space to receive his guidance.

Welcome to the First of Team Podcast. Our scripture for today comes from Proverbs 3 verses 5 through 6.

God's word says trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding and all your

ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your path. You were not created to carve out your own path through this life alone.

Your Heavenly Father longs to be a guide throughout all the twists and turns of life.

He longs to shepherd you to greener pastures and calmer waters.

He longs to protect you and provide for you. He longs to lead you to a life with more fullness of joy, peace, and purpose than any life you could discover on your own.

Proverts 3 5-6 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding

in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.

Allowing the Lord to be established as your guide begins with a commitment to trust.

God cannot lead where you will not follow.

Unless you live life with your heart postured

towards continual obedience, you will fail to follow your father into all the wonders that he has in store

for you.

Psalm 38 through 9 says, I will instruct you and teach you in the way that you should go.
