Welcome to our daily rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Now that we've meditated on the creation of the angels and on the fall of

Lucifer and the demons, today we reflect on the next part of the catechism, the creation of humankind, beginning with paragraph 355.

When the first chapters of the Bible tell us the creation story, God creates the light, the earth and sky and water, and then he makes life, plant life, sea life, birds and land creatures.

But then God does something new and he introduces it with a little speech.

He says, let us make man in our own image and in our likeness.

This is how we start out.

This is our debut on the stage of history. Now every artist puts something of himself into his artwork

and every piece of art tells you something about the artist and when God

created the world he left traces, imprints of himself in everything he makes.

But only the human person is made in the image and likeness of God. So what does that image and likeness mean?

Our father who aren't in heaven, hallow it be your name, thy kingdom come, thy will be

done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and leave us not into

temptation but deliver us for me for me.
