Did you know that waiting on God should be normal in the Christian life?

So why is it so hard? Here's part two of God acts on our behalf from Dr. Stanley's life

principle series. What desire do you have? I mean what big desire do you have? Something you really want in life?

Or maybe some things that you want,

or some relationships, whatever it might be.

What is it that you like to have? Maybe it's something that you have asked God about and he's

not answered it. In fact, he's been real quiet about the whole situation and you're wondering

if he's really and truly listening to what you're saying.

You sort of know he is because you know that deep down inside what you're asking for is the

will of God. But what do you do when you ask and you believe him and it looks like God's not

working in your behalf? He's not involved in your life. He's not present. That is,

what's going on when you and I asking and

God seems to be so silent? And the question is, is he not working? Has he ignored us? Is he not listening or is he requiring of us something that we don't particularly like,

and that is to wait for his timing before we have it.

So think about it for a moment in your own life.

This particular thing that you want or whatever you have in mind.

What's the reason for waiting? Why doesn't God just give it right now?

Well, there are a number of reasons. First of all, he asks us to wait because he's

readying. He's getting the circumstances ready for us to receive it.

Sometimes God needs to make changes in people or circumstances. For example, you remember when Joshua came to Jericho and God gave him

some instructions as to how to defeat Jericho? Because normally they would have a battle plan
