Hello, whinabbers. My name is Jesse Meekham with another episode of the

whinab podcast and I'm here each week to obsess out loud about spending

purposefully, saving aspirationally,

and even giving joyfully.

It all comes down to just four simple habits.

And here we are, day one, day one of 2024. May it be absolutely amazing and not at all scary or in any

other way negative, you know, good luck. luck 2024 I think new year's resolutions get a bad rap I love

them and normally this time a year I talk about maybe maybe doing a budget burn down

maybe taking this moment to just burn the whole

thing down and just say okay you know we have two cars maybe we should just have one we have

four maybe we should have seven you know that kind of a thing like questioning everything we have four kids should we know I'm just kidding but it's just this idea of not, yeah, question everything.

That's normally where I like to go with New Year's.

But this year, I just want to say,

I really like New Year's resolutions.

And of late, people are starting to say like,

they don't work. I know they don't work. I know that by February,

everyone's done with them. But can we just all acknowledge that it's kind of

neat and cool

that the collective gets together and kind of pretends for a moment

that they're going to change things?

Because you know there's some percentage.

There's some percentage of people that pull it off.
