And in God's word to Jonah, God has a word for us. In fact, this little word go has just

captured my attention. Look, it's one of God's great words. It's a small two-letter word,

and yet that one word has the very heart of Christ in it. What did Jesus do? He didn't wait for people

to come to him. We couldn't get to him. So what

he do? He went. The word made flesh and dwelling among us. No, he was a goer. The father said,

go, and he went. And with that same passion, he now says to us, as my father has sent me even so

sent I you. Can you hear the voice of God,

saying, whom shall I sin, and who will go for us? Here am I, send me. That's what Isaiah said.

Jonah, not quite so willing a prophet, not at first, but in the end, he did. I wonder, how long will it

take for us to get willing?
