Summary
This week, we dive into a successful launch and tease out the lessons we can all learn. Louise recently released her book Life Force which is about the process of making a series of paintings and then she released the actual paintings online. This had always been her plan but along the way, she encountered people who questioned the idea, and suggested that a physical exhibition would be a better idea. Despite temporarily losing focus, she eventually returned to her original vision, a decision which paid off. In this episode, we discuss the importance and value of going your own way with your work, even when (or especially when) you are not sure where it will lead. We also examine how to tune in to inspiration and intuition so that you ARE actually pursuing your own unique direction.

| 0:00.0 | Hello everybody and welcome back to episode 139 of art juice. This is honest, generous and humorous conversations that will |
| 0:16.2 | feed your creative soul and get you thinking with me Alice Sheridan and me Louise Fletcher. And we are going to have a nicely positive upbeat |
| 0:26.3 | conversation for you today both of us are in good moods and we know that is |
| 0:31.4 | catching we're also going to talk about a really important idea I think for both of us but |
| 0:37.9 | that one that isn't always easy to do about following your own way and discovering a way that is right for you. |
| 0:47.0 | But before we get to that, first of all, what have you been working on this week? |
| 0:52.0 | Oh my God, |
| 0:54.0 | balancing, packing. |
| 0:57.0 | I had a sale of paintings which we're going to talk about in the main topic |
| 1:01.0 | and I sold a lot more than I expected and my policy has usually been to to seal and finish the paintings as they sell because I like to reuse the frames if I if I don't they don't sell so then they all sold and then I needed to do all that and |
| 1:19.2 | mercifully this yesterday I had my work experience student here so she did a fantastic job she painted almost all the |
| 1:26.8 | edges of almost all the paintings but it's been a week of going madly seeking packing materials which is not easy in this day and age. |
| 1:36.5 | So all my store of packing materials isn't enough and |
| 1:41.5 | sadly seeking frames in vain. |
| 1:45.0 | Luckily, I knew that, so I marketed these paintings as unframed, |
| 1:50.0 | but then I very much hope to be able to surprise people by finding frames and sending them in frames and that the last supplier that I had finally found someone and made my order just filming this morning to say, |
| 2:05.0 | oh, we're so sorry about the molding is not coming today as expected and now it'll be three weeks and we don't even know if it'll be three weeks. |
| 2:11.4 | It's not their fault, it's just the way it is these days. |
| 2:15.8 | So that little surprise didn't happen, but it's just being a week of |
| 2:35.8 | slight panic, but I think I'm getting better at not getting overwhelmed and just making a list and thinking I immediately wrote to everyone and gave them a shipping day in a week and a half. So it gave me time. |
| 2:37.0 | Some time, yeah. |
| 2:38.0 | And everybody was okay about that. |
