| 0:31.0 | inspire you in your faith walk, that deepen your understanding of God's word and that |
| 0:35.3 | heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your |
| 0:38.0 | life. You know, it's easy to make blanket statements about younger generations, but that's just a |
| 0:43.8 | wrong thing to do. God is faithful in every generation. That's something I've been pondering. He's |
| 0:48.0 | faithful in every generation. When we were young, know-it-alls, and we didn't know anything, |
| 0:52.3 | God showed himself faithful, and he taught us, humbled us, guarded, guided us, corrected, and redirected us. He's faithful in every generation. And if you look with a heart that wants to see what God sees, you're going to find faithful followers in every generation. Well, you know, this I've had Tom Phillips on the show a whole bunch of times. He's one of our favorites. He's the vice president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. And every time he comes on, you know, he's an older sage, wise man. He always brings up the younger generations. He says, I have so much hope for the future when I see the firepower in these younger generations. And he's like, they're serious about God's word, they're passionate about God's heart, they're taking the Great Commission seriously. |
| 1:44.9 | Well, I agree with him, and I have time and time again, because I've had this front row seat to watch God work in amazing ways through some of my family members, one of which is my nephew, Noah Eggeberg. And I'm the only one in his life that's allowed to call him Noah Balboa. And I don't even know why I started that, but you know, maybe because I see a little bit of Rocky in him, you know, a vision and purpose resting on |
| 1:48.9 | him. But what I didn't know until a couple months ago was that one of the young men Tom Phillips was |
| 1:53.9 | actually talking about was my Noah. He mentors my nephew, Noah. What a small world. Noah and his darling wife Hannah joined me in studio today to talk about what God is doing on the ground in their midst and how God continually invites them and us and dares us to believe him for more. I believe you're going to be inspired by today's show. When you watch too much of the bad news on the media, you start to feel like the bad news is worse than the good news is good, that the bad news is truer than the truth is that sets us free, but it's just not true. It's not even an equal fight. The good news trumps the bad news every single day of the week. Let me say it this way, the good news eats the bad news for breakfast every day of the week. So a quick announcement. If you're traveling this season, we'd love for you to take us with you, especially if you're listening on one of our terrestrial signals.
