It's something we used to do at the end of my sorority meetings, if you can believe that,

where someone would share something that they came across in the course of the week, a poem, a song lyric, a short story, that they found enormously helpful as they went about daily life.

And I wanted to pick up the thread because I am so often wowed by something I see in the world

that I want to bring back and hand off to you.

So every Friday we produce a short segment called for the good of the order.

Think of it like an audio greeting card, a thing to share with the people that you love around the country

who you don't get to see or talk to enough. A thing to discuss with the people you do see and talk to

represent.US you would have had maybe the same reaction I did which was I

got to learn more about these ladies. It turns out it's a nonpartisan movement of people

working to restore democracy for future generations. It's not a huge group, it's

688 women who consider themselves changemakers. and who believe that as Grandma's, they have this unique potential to reach future generations in a way they might actually be able to receive the wisdom.

It got me thinking about my own grandmothers, Libby and Kleta,

and the kinds of things that I witnessed and the ways that they were that have

become part of my way of being in the world. They were good humored. They did not

take themselves terribly seriously. They were

devoted to something larger than themselves,

and they loved their kids with every fiber in their being.
