I hate that Doug Peterson keeps bringing up the lack of training camp as an excuse for why this team has struggled.

It's honestly one of the most annoying things that has been said this season by an Eagles player personnel, whatever.

Because every other team in the NFL has had to deal with the same issues that the Eagles had.

You can't say, oh, we haven't had enough time to prepare.

Every other team in the league is facing the exact same restrictions.

I mean, it's so acid-eyed.

It's such a ridiculous thing to come out of his mouth.

But having said that, I do think that clearly there are teams that have been more affected by the inability to prepare.

We actually thought it was going to be an advantage for the Eagles.

Right? Coming into the season, we're like, oh, same quarterback, same head coach.

Look at the rest of the teams in this division.

They're all new head coaches, new systems.

You look around the league, you would figure the teams that have their head coach and quarterback coming back, especially systems that have been together for multiple years.

You would think that those teams would have an advantage and we have not clearly not seen that play out so far through the first two weeks with Eagles.

But I don't want to over-react too much to the first two weeks of the season coming off this weird training camp.

Because again, while I think it's a ridiculous excuse because again, every other team has to deal with it.

That doesn't mean that the Eagles can't get better from you.

That doesn't mean that they just did not utilize that time maybe as well as others and that the underlying talent is still there.

They can rise above. And I do think Carson Wens will be better.
