What's going on, everybody, and good morning.

Today is Monday, February 9th, and this is your daily Go Birds morning update, giving you all the Eagles news you need to know, as well as what to keep an eye out for today.

And welcome to the beginning of the 2026 offseason.

I know for the Eagles, unfortunately,

it's been about a month into it, but the Super Bowl is over, the 2025 regular season is over,

and the Eagles are officially no longer defending Super Bowl champions. And look, I think it's a

good thing for the team. Obviously, you would have preferred that they repeated. And I think they blew a massive chance at it. Like, you watch the playoffs, you watch that Super Bowl. I don't think they were far off from competing with any of the teams that we saw in the postseason this year. I really think if they would have just ran it back and we know they're not major changes I've already been made, and we're going to talk on this pod one major change might still be coming but if they just executed better if they played less

sloppy if they had fewer penalties if like one or two throws are different one or two drops are

different I think we could be talking about this could be another another Monday morning pod where

I'm talking about being in the Super Bowl locker room I'm talking about them being back-to-back champions. I don't think they are that far off or were that far off this past season. The question really is now, how far are they away now? Because the team that was on the field last year is not going to be the team that was on the field this year. And that's especially true on the sideline. They're going to have a young coaching staff. They're going to have an inexperienced coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball. And they're going to have mostly a new coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball. And while changes can be good, this is a type of change that is going to be bigger than any change we've seen in the Nick Siriani

era. From 22 to 23, they kept someone internal, mostly ran the same stuff. From 24 to 25,

they brought someone internal, mostly ran the same stuff. Even 23 to 24, when they went to the

Super Bowl, there was not a ton of changes there, right? Like Kellamore came in, tried to do some new

stuff, but really ultimately ended up running a lot of the things they did in 23. So as we project forward, which we will do in this pot, this is the biggest change Eagles have undergone in Serani's time as head coach. There'll be the fewest assistant coaches around him that he's really ever had. He's used to having a lot of these guys

around him and a lot of these guys are not going to be back. So with the season over, we now
