Good morning, everybody. It's Tuesday, July 29th. Some sad news out of New York yesterday as a gunman

shot and killed four people, including a law enforcement officer, and also injured one of our

coworkers at our NFL New York offices. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell sent out a statement to

our NFL family yesterday, and in part, it reads, as has been widely reported, a gunman

committed an unspeakable act of violence in our building at

345 Park Avenue. One of our employees was seriously injured in this attack. He is currently

in the hospital and in stable condition. NFL staff are at the hospital and we are supporting

his family. We are deeply grateful to the law enforcement officers who responded to this threat quickly and decisively and to Officer Islam, who gave his life to protect others.

I mentioned the word family a few times, as did Roger Goodell in that statement.

And with that, I will check in with our GMFB family member, Kyle Brandt, who, of course, as always, every morning comes

to us from Manhattan. What's going on, Kyle? Heartbreaking news. Last evening and I started

getting texts from people around the country asking me if I was okay, not understanding exactly

where I work. I do not work in that building. I work significantly downtown, but I am devastated

for everyone who does work in that building. I also just want to say, I think this is particularly heartbreaking news,

because at this company and in that building, this is a time of great excitement and joy,

and this week represents hope and rebirth. And some of that was taken yesterday. It's horrible news,

terribly sad to hear it. And we, Good Morning Football, deeply share our support for the victim's loved ones.

Kyle, thank you. And it was really well said. And it's a sad, heartbreaking. And as Kyle said,

but we had to say it about our family and those affected this morning.
