Listen, we are going to talk about Lou Holt shortly, but we have huge, huge news in the NFL, which is why you're tuning in today. Huge trade went down yesterday between two teams that I consider on the varsity, Mike Garifolo, two teams that really matter, Chiefs and Rams. Kansas City sends all pro corner Trent McDuffy, all pro, to the Rams for four

draft picks. Big move by Los Angeles. Seems to add another top defender of the secondary.

And Mike just unpack it. Give us the details on this one. Yeah, bleep them picks.

Version 2.0 for Les Need and the Los Angeles Rams saying we've got two first round picks, thanks for the trade we made last year. So we're going to use one of them to acquire a player, an all-pro player. And Les Need had alluded to this the day before. So maybe you want to acquire an all-pro player in the secondary because he knew that this was potentially going down. So Trent McDuffie heads to the Rams from the Chiefs was on his fifth year option

his last year in his deal. Now, the Chiefs right now are trying to clear, not trying to, they are

clearing salary cap space. They've got to make some tough financial decisions. This was one of them.

Juan Taylor being another one of them. They're going to add. They're going to be active and free agency, but to make that happen, they've got to get that down. They've got another corner I'm going to talk about in a second that's also a free agent. So they've got to decide. How do they want to allocate these resources? So the chiefs get, number 21 overall, the three additional picks are a fifth, a sixth this year, and a 2027 third round pick. That is quite the hall for a player at a premier position who is going to get a new contract with the Rams that didn't happen with the Chiefs. It could have happened as soon as last year. Didn't happen with the Chiefs. It is going to happen with the Rams, and it is going to be a big contract. Our expectations that is going to make him the highest paid cornerback in the league at $30 million plus. So that is in the offing. This trade would not have been made if they didn't think it was close to being done. So look for that to happen in near future. Tret McDuffey to the Rams and the Chiefs picking up a lot of picks. Well, does the reason the Rams stay the Rams and they matter every single year. They have the coach. They have the quarterback.

And they have the rare GM who has a catchphrase. You don't see a lot of general management. In fact, I believe Les Neen even has a coffee cup that says that catchphrase on it. And then you go and back it up. That is the brand. He is not afraid to be aggressive. And that's why the Rams stay the Rams. But what do we think, guys?
