I was like, oh, I think Kyler's a week one starter.

They may spin it as its competition, and we want JJ to fight.

No, no, no.

If you're Kevin O'Connell, you don't bring in Kyler Murray to create some competition. You bring them in to start for your team. I understand. Kyler Murray is, I don't know, talent-wise, top seven or eight in the lead, just pure talent. Like, that talented. I don't think JJ McCarthy can hang in a quarterback competition with Kyleor Murray. Not only just the athletic ability and the running and the arm strength, like those are JJ's things. I'm not sure what JJ's things are, but put JJ aside for a bit. If you're the Vikings also, all right, so you got this fancy car and you've had it for a couple years and you're like looking up Lemon Law stuff. It's just not working. It's not driving well. You're not happy with it. And then someone pulls up and they're like, hey, do you want this Lamborghini? And you're like, well, I don't know, it's got a lot of mileage on it. Well, it's only 28 years old. Wow. All right. Well, it sounds very expensive. No, it's basically free. Like, it's just basically Nothing give me a hundred bucks and you can have it. This sounds like a great deal. Why would I say no to this? Well, it's like pretty much like the one car on the street that anybody wants. There's a few cars on the street this year and this was the best one and by far. And so do you want it for free? Because you can have it. Yeah. Is there like a catch? No, just take it and shut up and take the car before I leave. And they they're like yeah I'll take it and they start driving it it's just I don't think this is

a quarterback competition and I don't like to come out and disparage J.J. McCart

seems like a great guy but like Kevin O'Connell I think he's like bring me someone bring

me anyone but if we can bring me Kyle Murray, get him in here.

Also, let me riff you off a quick list.

After Kirk Cousins, oh, crap, I just filled.

After Kirk Cousins left the Vikings, Justin Jefferson's quarterbacks, Justin Jefferson,

Sean Mannion, Nick Mullins, Josh Dobbs, Jaron Hall, Sam Darnold, Carson Wentz, Max Brasmer, J.J. McCarthy, and now Kyler Murray,

who for all his faults, is the talented guy to get drafted number one overall.

And again, I urge you to look at his 2024 injury-free season, which he was the top 12 quarterback

in the NFL.

I think he's a week one starter short of something crazy happening.
