Another GMFB list, and I'm counting down the top five defenses

heading into this 2026 year.

First up, probably my favorite defense that I like to watch

schematically.

I'm talking about the Minnesota Vikings.

These guys put on the highest quarterback pressure rate in the league at 41%.

Not only that, but they get to the quarterback quicker than any other team in the NFL.

And this is the craziest that even when they don't blitz.

When they blitz only three or rush three or four passers, they still have the highest quarterback pressure rate in the NFL. But this is why they're my favorite. We're at the Christmas game Vikings v. the Lions. And when a lot of teams like to show a cover two shell, that's two safeties back and show a normal defense, Brian Flores and his defense want to show cover zero.

They're going to have everybody up at the line of scrimmage and they're going to play poker with you. They're going to say, am I blitzing everybody or am I dropping? They're going to have people up on the line of scrimmage. All the gaps are covered. One time they're going to blitz everybody. The next time they're going to drop seven. You don't know.

And that is why I love the Minnesota Vikings at five.

Now, number four, what the Seattle Seahawks were in 2025, the Eagles were in 2024.

That Eagles defense allowed 15.6 points per game from week 10 on last season.

That's the fewest in the NFL.

The Eagles allowed just 14 past TDs in 2025. That is also fewest. Now, let's go through the guys that they have. Those two monsters in the middle, Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter. Campinda, you know this as a linebacker. I would love to play behind those two. And speaking about linebackers, Zach Bonn, shout to Zach and Jehad Campbell, rookie out of Alabama, probably my favorite defensive prospect last year coming out of the draft. Cooper DeGine, Quineon Mitchell. Now, they did lose some pieces, but they added Tariq Wollin and Jonathan Grenard, which should help with that pass rush. Now, I did mention they lost Reed Blankenship, and I think that's something that they're going to have to figure out. But when you have the best defensive coordinator,
