It's like he even said, if you go back and you watch it, you know, I appreciate it kind of where he's coming from.

I mean, you know, it's, it's, you're in a podcast, you're talking ball, and he's just like, well, how do they got to use the guy?

0:43.4

You know, how's he going to play?

0:44.3

You know, and, you know, don't get me wrong. He said, don't get me wrong. and I think maybe we got them wrong, you know,

it's out there a little bit because that's what's what we do in our world.

We look at one thing and we say, well, he must be mad about it.

0:55.1

And it's like he said, man, I just, I was curious about how you're going to use

him. And I showed him how we're going to use him, you know, and he's fired up about it. It's all right, coach. And Malik neighbor is just trying that media game on for size. You know? He wants to make sure he's good and ready for television when he's done playing.

Biner keep trying.

Kyle floated this out there.

Who's going to win nine games next to your Jets or Giants? It's okay to be fired up about the 2026 New York Giants. It's okay to be fired up about all 32 teams. If you're a New York Giants fan, be fired up. Everybody's fired up. But I'm with you, Malik. I am with you. When the Giants took

1:28.6

Arvel Reese at number five, I shook my head a little bit. Why? Because where are you going

1:34.8

to play him? When I look at Arvel Reese, he plays that hybrid position. The issue is you drafted

1:39.8

somebody last year by the name of Abdul Carter that plays the same exact position. Now, you at home may be asking, well, what's the problem with that? Don't you want two hybrids in the game? Well, yeah, on third down, but not on first and second down, because if you're going to use a hybrid position on first and second down, the thing about the hybrid is this. They are really good at one thing and they're not so good at another thing. They're really good. Abdul Carter, Alvall Rees. They're known to rush the passer and they can rush the passer from anywhere on the field. A lot like Michael Parsons. They're not really good at dropping into coverage. So you can't blitz both of them. That's why they're good on third down. Another thing about the hybrid position, they're not really guys that you want to stick and run defense. And so when you have one, you want to put somebody opposite of them that hopefully they run ball to the guy that's really good at run defense. Well, if you have both of them on each side, well, now you're kind of, you're weak at both sides on the edge. So that was my biggest question when they drafted Arvill Reese. Was he a great pick? Yes, he's a heck of a player. However, you already have a piece in Abdul Carter there. So how are they going to use Arville Reese? I guess it's TBD. I'm excited about the leadership. And I think John Hallbaugh showed you right then and there why he's the man for the job and the man for the job in this market. You talk about Malik neighbors making a comment. That was pretty much out of his pay grade. But instead of John Hallbar and say, hey, putting him in a corner or say, be quiet, let us go to work. He brought the young man into his office. He goes, hey, that's a great question. Let me show you why I think Alvarez could benefit us and how he can impact our defense. You know, me being John Hallball coming from a three-four scheme, don't you think having

a dual Carter, Alvarez, Brian Burns sliding Kimberdow down, we can run a three-four
