Peter is one of the few national media folks that actually has been in the chief's corner since the

off season began. Clearly a lot dependent on Pat my homes but Peter Shrager

is in particular he is all in. It's a great discussion with him we had had to do it via the phone, so I tried to pump up the audio,

just have that little caveat before you listen. And then after the break, we're going to get

with Mac Derek, and we're going to talk about Mahomes, about the roster, and about who needs to start making some impressions in order to make this cut down.

So Peter, I have to ask you, when you saw Patrick Mahomes coming out as a QB, what were your first thoughts of him?

I'm like his number one fan boy right now, but I wasn't at the time.

I thought it was kind of like a gimmick offense and I've never been a big fan of the

Marcus Russell Kyle bowler deep throwing what else he got guy and then I was a bigger

fan of Trebiski in Watson to be honest but then throughout the year

last year I would hear whispers out of people I know in that Kansas City organization

just saying you have no idea what this kid's doing in practice

and then I would hear whispers from other people who had popped into practice and they say,
