This was just reported yesterday by the CDC. So I just want to point to what we need to know about this. This is about a contamination exposure event related to McDonald's hamburgers. So far it seems to be associated with the quarter pounder

hamburger. Right now the FDA is reporting that there have been at

least 49 people that have been affected in over 10 states. There have been one

death. Just so that you know these symptoms seem to be associated with

E. coli. It's a bacteria. It often causes symptoms of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

about one to three days after exposure. For most it is self-resolving. For those who are immune

compromised, pregnant, elderly, those who are young, it can develop into something more severe.

And as far as what states are being effective right now, we have a map here to help people better

understand. So out of an abundance of caution McDonald's have stopped selling

quarter pounder beef patties in affected states that includes places like

Colorado, Kansas, Utah, and portions of Idaho, Missouri, Montana, Nevada.

Right now I would say that if you think you've been exposed and you have symptoms,

especially if you're high risk, again young adults, young kids, for example, elderly, those who are pregnant or immune

compromised you want to seek out treatment to get tested to avoid the
