We are going to start. We got to talk about the flash flooding threat for millions of Americans.

latest for everyone? Yes, after this big change, right? Everybody was so dry for so long. And then we

had that wildly wet holiday weekend. Well, now pictures out of San Antonio tell the story. You get

two inches of rain really fast and you end up with flash flooding covering those cars. That was last

night. But as we go through this afternoon

and tonight, we still have a flash flood threat along the Gulf Coast. It includes Mobile,

parts of Louisiana, back into Houston, but also Cincinnati over to say, Morgantown, West Virginia.

There's this stationary front that's hanging out and it's kind of bubbling around and with it

could come damaging winds for the nation's

capital. So through this afternoon, next couple hours, we're going to look for wind above 65

miles per hour. Could take out power lines and trees not just in Washington, D.C., but down to Richmond,

Virginia Beach, too. So that's a look at the severe. But overall, through the weekend, we've got a

very wet pattern set up for the very areas that need it, but have had too much too fast recently.

So that is a look at how much more rain, two to four inches in some of the heaviest areas.

This is the drought. So right on top of the most needed spots.

In total, though, a place like South Georgia or North Florida needs more than a foot, so this will only dent the drought, not erase it. Is it too much too fast, though? That's what the problem is. Right. So when you have two to three inch per hour rainfall rates, that's when you get the flash flooding. Yeah, you want to space it out. All right, Ginger. Thank you so much.
