Security lines still long. TSA officers still going without paychecks due to the partial

government shutdown. And Congress so far has failed to reach a deal to fund the agency.

Good afternoon to you, Will. We're seeing this now every day this week, this mad crush of

people trying to get through these security checkpoints between 5.30 and about 7.30 a.m.

Some of the people we talked with this morning

told us that they were in line for 45 minutes, an hour, an hour and a half trying to get

through security. They're still telling passengers here at the world's busiest airport to get

here four hours early because the jams come and go. It's at the point where the wait times that you see posted on the websites by the airports just can't be trusted and the TSA has stopped even offering that information. About 40% of TSA workers have called out at this airport, Houston, New Orleans and near 40% at other airports. These are employees who aren't getting a paycheck.
