others get over that sense of shame. Yep, we're looking forward to that, but we begin with crunch time

for holiday deliveries as we are all trying to get those gifts to loved ones on time.

And Elizabeth Shulsey has everything you need to know. Hey, Elizabeth.

Hey, Rebecca, crunch time for sure. We're now two weeks away from Christmas Eve. The window is closing

to get those holiday gifts in the mail if you want to have them under the tree in time. So here's

some of the cheapest options

right now if you want your packages to get there by December 24th. With FedEx ground economy,

that deadline is December 15th. That is next Monday. So maybe you want to go this weekend to be safe

for the U.S. Postal Service December 17th, one week from today, both ground shipping and first class

mail. So keep that in mind for holiday cards too. UPS will vary by location, but if you're trying to send a package across the country with ground shipping, the cheapest option, you want to get it in the mail by the 17th. We get into a lot more expensive options after that. So December 18th, that's going to be the deadline for priority mail with the postal service. The 19th for UPS 3-day shipping, the 20th for FedEx Express Saver. Just for context, that Express Saver rate, three times more expensive than ground shipping when I just checked a package, so it really does add up. You've got other options like overnight shipping, but at that point, Rebecca, you could end up paying more than $100 for shipping.

Not sure that's as much as you even bought the gift in the first place. Yeah, right. You want to put that money towards the gift, not the shipping of it. Okay, Elizabeth, what are some tips for people to save on those shipping costs? Right. So remember you can always check shipping directly with the retailer. If you're buying online, it'll usually say the very last date and time that you can order to qualify for free shipping.

You can ship directly from the brand.

A lot of brands offer gift wrapping.

Finally, always check those flat rate boxes.

This is when you can put a lot more stuff into one package and it doesn't charge you based on the weight, guys.
