But first we start this afternoon with Pope Francis. He was carried to

St. Peter's Basilica and James Longman is above St. Peter's Square where thousands of borders

are paying their respects as the Pope lies in state over the next three days. James, good afternoon.

Yeah, hi there, DeMarco. It really was a beautiful service this morning as St. Peter's Basilica, welcomed back Pope Francis.

Kevin Farrell, who is the American, Irish-American Cardinal, who is essentially running the Vatican

until a new Pope is elected.

He presided over the service, anointing Pope Francis with Holy Water as some of the

most powerful men in the church prayed over him. Pope Francis is now lying in state in St. Peter's

Basilica, thousands of people are lining up in the square to be able to see him. They'll be able to do

that over the next three days until Saturday when it'll be the funeral an enormously important event.

Dignatories from all over the world will be here including of course President Trump, his wife

Melania, Prince William will also be here we know and Ukrainian President Volodymy Zelensky

and millions of people will be watching all around the world.
