The new study is looking at the efficacy of the new blood test for colorectal cancer screening.

So we've talked about colonoscopies on this show.

I think it's so important to talk about this, but it's more important to know about the facts

and the data around different types of colon tests.

And so this new study helps us to understand

how effective these tests are and detecting cancer

and preventing death.

And here's what you need to know.

In this study, they found that colonoscopies and stool testing

were up to 70% effective in detecting cancer and also being able to prevent death.

And when you compare that to blood tests, they found that blood tests were 42% successful

at detecting new cancers and about 56% successful at preventing death or decreasing or

associated to a decrease in death.
