After a month of not seeing me, she was sobbing, so it's going to be something special.

Her due Global's graduation team worked with Blaine to arrange the Mother's Day surprise.

From ABC News headquarters in New York City, this is GMA3. We're going to start with rising gas prices and concerns we could be headed to an all-time high this summer.

Alex Perez is in Chicago with more on that. Hey Alex.

Hey, Rhiannon, unfortunately no relief in sight. The national average for a gallon of gas right now is the highest it has been in four years.

Chicago has some of the highest gas

prices in the country. Behind me here, you can see it is at $6.29 a gallon here at this station.

Now, the national average for a gallon of gasoline is now $4.48, up $1.54 since the war with Iran began. That's a sharp increase of more than 50%.

A standard SUV that cost about $53 to fill before the war now costs more than $80. That's an additional $27 at the pump.

And the average pickup truck now costs more than $100 to fill,

a $35 jump. The average here in Illinois, 50 cents higher than the rest of the country. Some
