Let's talk about tuberculosis is. I think there's some important notes that we all can remember.

Number one, it's a bacterial infection.

Most often infects the lungs, although it can infect other parts of the body, that is less likely.

And it's transmitted from person to person, often through air.

And these droplets can last in the air for quite some time.

And the symptoms that look out for are that prolonged cough, especially if that

cough is associated with a bloody cough, unexplained weight loss, night sweats.

And I think what's most important is understanding that there are two main types of tuberculosis.

There is active tuberculosis when you are infected, symptomatic, and contagious, and there's

inactive tuberculosis where you were infected, but no symptoms and you're not contagious.
