There's this outbreak in Texas that has doubled in case number.

All the people affected are unvaccinated, correct? So if you are vaccinated for measles, which many are, do you need a booster right now?

You know, these numbers are doubling mainly because measles is so contagious.

states. There's at least 15 states that have documented cases of measles. And as you said,

most of these cases are unvaccinated and unfortunately, mostly children. So to answer your question

in terms of what do we know about the MMR vaccine, measles, mums, and rebella,

many people don't remember it because we often get vaccinated when we're in our school age.

And so this is what you need to know in terms of how beneficial it is and how protective it is.

Number one, two doses, which are usually given about a month apart are about 97% effective.

So the general risk to the vaccinated person is relatively low.

Even one dose can provide 93% effectiveness. And vaccination after a recent exposure within three
